In a playful reference to how we communicate in today’s connected yet disconnected world, Lanvin Creative Director Alber Elbaz gives feedback on the brand’s new campaign via a Skype video call for their spring/summer video. The inspiration for the editorial came from Elbaz’s inability to actually be in New York City for the various shoots because of Hurricane Sandy. Lanvin continues to be a luxury fashion house with a mischievous sense of humour.

Audaciously…Brilliantly…Eternally… CHANEL and the Diamond. Love this fabulous short film that summarises the history of Gabrielle Chanel’s use of the diamonds in a modern way – simplifying jewellery settings and rendering the previous styles out of date “I want jewels that slip between the fingers like a ribbon”. For Chanel beauty was not an obligation or a convention but a way of being, an allure.
