This short video shows exactly what Topshop has in stall for us this London Fashion Week. Following last year’s London Fashion Week show which let viewers interact with and customize runway looks on social media, Topshop has this year teamed with Google for a multimedia experience that takes the idea even further. During the retailer’s A/W fashion show taking place at London’s Tate Modern this September viewers can experience the show from several points of view, including the model on the runway, the buyer in the audience, the make up artist backstage, the designer fitting a look or the celebrity arriving. They will also be able to buy featured items, including music as well as clothes and beauty products, instantly during the show.

Oscar still ruled though with his use of colour, the amazing detail and overall femininity. Some pieces in the collection did seem more like vintage ODLR. The 80-year-old will mark his 50th year of designing clothes in New York in 2013. Nothing last season came close to the wow factor of the two grand silk faille ball gowns in shocking pink and mulberry with intricate gold bullion embroidery that closed the show.

Kate and Laura Mulleavy’s soulful and affecting Rodarte show was inspired by dreams of their California childhood. As Kate explained backstage, “We wanted to capture our memories of Santa Cruz: It’s a very personal collection.” It was grunge and it was gothic, Nineties and theatrical, skate culture, LA surfers, fairytale princesses and Eighties street kids.

Derek Lam described his customer as “She’s got a bohemian spirit, but in a modern, controlled way” and this was undoubtedly the collection he presented for Fall 2013. Lam brought out his inner boho in a super chic way with patchwork suede, fringing and rich coloured furs. His elegant capes in both wool and leather were classic investment pieces. The colour palette of ivory, navy, camel and burgundy worked on rich fabrics like satin, furs and leather, set a tone of modern understated luxury.

Indisputably the model of the moment, Cara Delevingne shot by Mario Testino makes her Vogue UK cover debut for the March issue. The editorial inside entitled “Chasing Cara” interviews the British born model, renowned for her cheeky personality and quietly captivating beauty. At just 20 years old, Delevingne has already starred in campaigns for Burberry, Chanel and DKNY and walked on so many catwalks over the last few seasons it’s hard to keep track.
