Equipment has just launched their spring/summer 2013 advertising campaign with Jamie Hince and Alison Mosshart from The Kills. Mosshart and Hince showcase the brands cashmere and silk silhouettes from both the Equipment Femme and Equipment Homme collection. “I heard that Jamie and Alison were fans of Equipment and after listening to their music, I knew that we had to collaborate creatively. The way they wear our shirts is pure Rock n Roll, yet very much what Equipemnt is all about”, says CEO and Creative Director Serge Azria. Love this fabulous short film that summarises the history of Gabrielle Chanel’s use of the diamonds in a modern way – simplifying jewellery settings and rendering the previous styles out of date “I want jewels that slip between the fingers like a ribbon”. For Chanel beauty was not an obligation or a convention but a way of being, an allure.

Christian Louboutin has just unveiled his Spring/Summer 2013 collection which is as extravagant and imaginative as ever. To coincide with the launch, the shoemaker has just released the first images of the accompanying Peter Lippmann lensed campaign, inspired by Belgian artist René Magritte’s approach to Surrealism. Against the backdrop of a fishing port, the shoes and clutches from the new collection dominate the images, used as fishing bait in a cheeky take on the age-old adage “there are plenty more fish in the sea”.
