Amber Sceats jewellery was founded by Australian mother and daughter team Jeannette and Amber Sceats. The range combines fashion trends of the past and present to create an eclectic high fashion aesthetic. The beauty of Amber Sceats’s pieces allow them to be worn from day through to evening and covering all looks – tough and elegant, high end and streetwear. I am obsessed with the countess necklaces (see last pic) in both silver and rose gold to wear back with a simple white tee.
Audaciously…Brilliantly…Eternally… CHANEL and the Diamond. Love this fabulous short film that summarises the history of Gabrielle Chanel’s use of the diamonds in a modern way – simplifying jewellery settings and rendering the previous styles out of date “I want jewels that slip between the fingers like a ribbon”. For Chanel beauty was not an obligation or a convention but a way of being, an allure.
Dree Hemingway gets in touch with her spiritual side for the latest campaign from Australian accessories label ManiaMania. With creative direction by designers Melanie Kamsler and Tamila Purvis, Dree is clad in black body paint dancing around in sand dunes captured by photographer David Mandelberg. ManiaMania has built an empire on fiercely unique pieces: think cocktail rings set with crystals, bold, armour-like necklaces and slim metal cuffs.
LA-based JewelMint has just released a new short film to promote their July range. The clip features co-designer Kate Bosworth frolicking to the sounds of Cottonbelly’s “By Your Side” in picturesque Tulum, Mexico, wearing a variety of tropical-inspired pieces. Bosworth revealed that it was shot by her boyfriend Actor/Director Michael Polish, which explains her flirting with the camera.
